  • Completely generic and unbiased - in other words, information that doesn’t favour any one particular company - nor the goods/services of any company.

  • Factual. The information must tell the good, bad and ugly of the industry, so that anyone contemplating joining, can make an informed decision based on facts rather than hype.

  • Australian. There is a great deal of excellent, generic information available in print, audio, video and via the Internet – but most of it has been produced in America.

What is the purpose of NWMA?

The purpose, or Mission Statement of Network Marketing Australia is…

  • To provide information that is unbiased, factual and relevant to Australians - so that people who are contemplating joining the Network Marketing industry, can make an informed decision.

  • To enhance the image of the Network Marketing industry by building mutual trust and respect among all companies and individuals

  • To help Network Marketers from all companies to grow their businesses, by providing quality information and training that is relevant.


Additional Goals include the following...

  • To enhance the public and professional image of Network Marketing

  • To help those who are new to Network Marketing to understand and appreciate the value of our industry.

  • To encourage people to edify all reputable companies and individuals in the Network Marketing industry.

  • To operate on the highest ethical plane at all times.

  • To treat Member's personal information with the highest confidentiality and integrity. (Under no circumstances, will we sell, trade or give Member's personal or business information to any other person, business or organisation).

  • To provide Members with the best possible service. Our objective is to under-promise and over-deliver.

  • To have fun! And to encourage others to have fun also - by providing information in a professional, but also informal, typically-Australian manner.

Who founded NWMA?

NWMA was founded as a result of chance conversations by four independent representatives from different companies - in three different states. Each of the individuals recognised the need for unbiased, warts-and-all information about the industry that dispels the hype and myths that abound.

Who is Nawma? (Pronounced "Norma")

'Nawma' is the fictitious cartoon character, mascot.

In reality, 'Nawma' is many people - each responsible for different tasks associated with the day-to-day organisation of Network Marketing Australia.
Because Network Marketing is a 'Home-based Business' - each of the 'Nawmas' work from their own individual home-offices in various locations around Australia.

When did NWMA commence?

The concept of NWMA has been floated around by the founders for almost three years, but it was only in May 2007 that the organisation and this website (which - as you can see - is still in its formative stages!) was established.

Is NWMA anti-American?

Absolutely not!

In fact, we readily acknowledge the fantastic training methods and materials that have been produced by people such as John Milton Fogg, Tom Schreiter, Tim Sales, Jerry Clark, Sandy Elsberg, Jan Ruhe, the late John Kalench - and many others.

It’s just that - because of our different cultures - there is a perceived need for information about our business that gives figures, illustrations and examples that Australians can relate to.

Even though NWMA is unashamedly Australian-based, we will, never-the-less, from time to time, call on the expertise (and entertainment) of some of the above-mentioned International trainers.

NWMA is about to engage professional Internet marketing consultants to help drive traffic to the NWMA website. This - like the development of this website - is an on-going process, one which is anticipated to have our site at the 'top of the wozza' with most search engines in 2-3 months.
